barvinok.ca belongs to the Barvinok Ukrainian Dance Society in Calgary, Alberta. Barvinok means periwinkle in Ukrainian; the flower provides the inspiration for the site's colours.

Barvinok is a Drupal site. Using Drupal, an open source content management platform based on PHP and MySQL enables the dance society to provide general information to the public while keeping confidential information in the society's handbook and newsletters accessible by society members only. In addition, the society's executive maintain the site's content and send out newsletters.
